Siuslaw Vikings Girls Soccer 0-7 Oregon Episcopal

Oregon Episcopal handed the Siuslaw girls soccer team a 7-0 defeat Friday evening, sending the Vikings home from Portland with a tough early-season lesson. Siuslaw, based in Florence, Oregon, and a member of the Far West League (4A), opened the 2026 campaign with this non-league road test against the Aardvarks, a private school program well known for its competitive strength.
Facing a significant step up in competition to begin the year, the Vikings were unable to find footing offensively and were stretched thin on the defensive end throughout the match. Oregon Episcopal's attacking pressure proved relentless, and Siuslaw's backline had little room to recover.
While the final margin was steep, road non-league matchups against programs of this caliber can serve as valuable film and experience as Far West League play approaches. The Vikings drop to 0-1 on the season.
Siuslaw will look to regroup and find its rhythm when the schedule continues next week.
