Siuslaw Vikings Girls Soccer 2-2 Sutherlin

A late equalizer secured a 2-2 tie for Siuslaw girls soccer Saturday afternoon in Florence, Oregon, as the Vikings split points with Sutherlin in Far West League (4A) play. Neither side could find a winner in a back-and-forth contest that left both teams with something to build on heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Siuslaw moves to 3-3-1 overall and 3-2 in league play after the draw. The result keeps the Vikings in the mix for postseason positioning, though every remaining conference match carries added weight. Sutherlin came into Florence as a capable league opponent, and the Vikings showed the resilience to claw back and avoid a defeat that could have complicated their playoff picture. With the postseason window approaching, Siuslaw will look to stack wins in the coming weeks. The Vikings return to action next week with an opportunity to gain ground in the Far West League standings.
