Siuslaw Vikings Girls Soccer 5-0 Illinois Valley

Florence's Siuslaw soccer program picked up a commanding road victory Thursday, shutting out Illinois Valley 5-0 in Far West League (4A) play. The win moves the Vikings to 5-4-1 overall and 5-3 in conference as the regular season enters its final stretch.

Traveling to Illinois Valley, Siuslaw came out sharp from the start, generating consistent offensive pressure and keeping the Mustangs off the scoreboard entirely. A five-goal output on the road against a league opponent speaks to the focus this group carried into the match, and the clean sheet adds an exclamation point on an efficient team performance.

The result is significant for Siuslaw's postseason positioning. Sitting at 5-3 in league play, every remaining conference match carries weight as the Vikings look to finish strong and secure a favorable playoff seed.

Siuslaw will look to build on this momentum when they return to action next week, with time running short in the Far West League standings race.
