Myrtle Point Bobcats Football 36-8 Toledo

A dominant performance on the gridiron Friday night sent Myrtle Point's football program into the postseason on a high note, as the Wildcats rolled past Toledo 36-8 at home to improve to 6-2 on the year. The victory was played in Myrtle Point, Oregon, where the Wildcats compete in the 2A-SD4 Special District 4, and it gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about heading into the playoffs. The non-league matchup served as a final tuneup before the postseason, and Myrtle Point answered convincingly, controlling the game from start to finish and building a lead that was never seriously threatened. The 28-point margin reflects a team that is playing with confidence and depth on both sides of the ball. Having entered the night at 5-2, the Wildcats used Friday's performance to sharpen their game at exactly the right time. With the regular season now in the books, Myrtle Point will turn its focus to the 2A playoffs and the opportunity to extend its season deep into November.
