West Linn's offense proved too much for Gold Beach to handle Monday afternoon, as the Panthers fell 14-6 in their home softball matchup. The loss highlighted the challenges Gold Beach faces in league competition this spring season.

Despite playing at their home field, the Panthers couldn't contain West Linn's powerful batting attack. Gold Beach managed to put six runs on the scoreboard, showing they could generate offense of their own, but West Linn's 14-run outburst overshadowed those efforts.

The defeat drops Gold Beach to 3-4 overall and leaves them searching for their first conference victory at 0-3 in league play. With the season progressing, the Panthers will need to regroup quickly and focus on the fundamentals that helped them achieve early success.

Gold Beach has shown they can compete this season, as evidenced by their balanced overall record entering Monday's game. The team will look to bounce back in their next outing and capture that elusive first league win.
