Coquille Red Devils Football 8-63 Sutherlin

The Red Devils ran into a buzzsaw Friday night, falling to Sutherlin by a final score of 63-8. It was a tough night all around for Coquille, who struggled to find any consistent rhythm on either side of the ball against a Sutherlin squad that came out firing from the opening whistle.

Sutherlin's offense proved to be too much for the Red Devils to contain, piling up points in bunches and never really letting Coquille get comfortable. The Red Devils did manage to put 8 points on the board, showing some fight even when the game was out of hand, and that kind of grit will matter as the season winds down.

Coquille drops to 0-6 on the year with the loss. It has been a difficult stretch for the Red Devils, but there is still football left to be played, and every week is a new opportunity to build on what this program is working toward.
