Marshfield Pirates Softball 3-18 North Bend

North Bend's offense proved too much for Marshfield to handle Thursday afternoon, as the Pirates dropped an 18-3 softball decision on the road. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead and continued to add runs throughout the contest, taking advantage of scoring opportunities to pull away from the visiting Pirates.
Marshfield managed to put three runs on the scoreboard but couldn't match North Bend's offensive production in the league matchup. The loss moves the Pirates to 3-16 overall and 1-5 in conference play as they continue working through a rebuilding season.
Despite the challenging scoreline, the Pirates have shown flashes of improvement throughout the spring campaign. Head coach and players remain focused on executing fundamentals and building chemistry as a unit.
Marshfield will look to bounce back when they return to action next week. With several games remaining on the schedule, the Pirates have opportunities to continue developing their young roster and finish the season on a positive note.
