Marshfield Pirates Softball 10-13 Junction City

Junction City's offense proved too much for Marshfield in a high-scoring softball affair Friday afternoon. The Pirates battled hard but couldn't overcome the visitors' 13-run outburst, falling 13-10 at home in Coos Bay, Oregon.

The Sky-Em League (4A) contest saw both teams find success at the plate, with 23 total runs crossing home plate. Marshfield kept pace early and never let Junction City pull away completely, showing the fight that has defined their season despite the challenges.

The loss drops the Pirates to 3-22 overall and 1-11 in conference play as they near the end of the spring campaign. While the scoreboard didn't favor the home team, the competitive nature of the game demonstrated Marshfield's continued development.
