Myrtle Point softball faced a challenging test Friday afternoon, falling 24-1 to visiting Corbett in non-league action at home. The lopsided defeat highlighted the growing pains for a young Bobcats squad still searching for their first win of the spring season.

Corbett's offensive attack proved relentless from the opening inning, as the Cardinals built an insurmountable lead early and never looked back. Despite the difficult circumstances, Myrtle Point managed to push across one run against the high-powered Cardinals offense.

The loss drops the Bobcats to 0-7 overall and 0-2 in conference play as they continue working to find their rhythm in what has been a rebuilding season. Head coach and players remain focused on fundamental improvements and building chemistry as a unit.

Myrtle Point will look to regroup quickly as they prepare for their next outing. The Bobcats' emphasis on daily improvement and team development will be crucial as they work toward breaking through for that elusive first victory of the 2026 campaign.
