Corbett's offense erupted for 16 runs as the Cardinals dominated Myrtle Point 16-1 in non-league softball action Thursday at home. The visiting Cardinals built an insurmountable lead early, turning what began as a competitive matchup into a lopsided affair.

Myrtle Point managed just one run against Corbett's pitching staff, struggling to generate consistent offensive opportunities throughout the contest. The Cardinals capitalized on their scoring chances while limiting the home team's ability to mount any sustained rallies.

The loss drops Myrtle Point to 0-8 overall and 0-2 in conference play as the team continues working to find its rhythm in the early portion of the season. Despite the challenging start, the softball squad has shown glimpses of potential that they'll look to build upon.

Myrtle Point will have an opportunity to regroup and refocus as they prepare for their next contest. The team remains committed to improving their execution on both sides of the ball as the spring season progresses.
