Reedsport Braves Football 18-42 Vernonia

The Reedsport Braves ran into a tough Vernonia squad Friday night, dropping a 42-18 decision on the road. Vernonia came out firing and built a lead the Braves were never quite able to claw back from, controlling the tempo for much of the evening.

Reedsport did find the end zone and showed some fight, putting 18 points on the board in a game that got away from them early. The Vernonia offense proved to be too much to handle, however, as the visitors from the coast absorbed a lopsided final score that doesn't fully capture the effort the Braves brought to the field.

The loss drops Reedsport to 0-5 on the season as the schedule rolls on. The Braves will look to regroup and come out with something to prove when they get back on the field next week.
