Siuslaw Vikings Boys Soccer 0-12 St. Mary's, Medford

St. Mary's of Medford handed Siuslaw a 12-0 defeat in Far West League (4A) boys soccer Tuesday evening in Florence, Oregon, as the Vikings were unable to slow a potent Crusaders attack. The shutout loss dropped Siuslaw to 1-15 overall and 1-11 in league play with the final week of the regular season approaching. St. Mary's came in as one of the stronger programs in the classification, and their finishing ability was on full display throughout the match, building an insurmountable advantage before halftime and continuing to push through the second half. Siuslaw's defense was tested repeatedly and had no answer for the Crusaders' combination play. Though the scoreline was difficult, the Vikings have shown resilience in staying competitive through a demanding schedule this fall. Siuslaw will look to close the season on a stronger note and carry lessons from this stretch of play into the offseason as the program works toward building for next year.
