Powers Cruisers Girls Volleyball 3-2 Glendale

A five-set battle ended in Powers' favor Thursday evening, as the Powers High School girls volleyball team defeated visiting Glendale 3-2 in non-league action at Powers, Oregon. The win improves the 1A-4 Skyline League's Falcons to 5-8 on the season.
Needing all five sets to settle the outcome, Powers showed plenty of resolve against the Glendale squad, refusing to surrender the match after dropping sets along the way. Five-set victories require consistent focus and mental toughness, and the Falcons delivered both when it mattered most.
The result offers a meaningful boost for a Powers squad that came in at 4-8. Earning a hard-fought win over a non-league opponent, especially in a match that could have gone either way, gives the program something real to build on as the postseason window approaches.
With the regular season winding down, Powers will look to carry this momentum into upcoming league play and position itself for a strong finish heading into the 1A playoffs.
