Marshfield Pirates Baseball 4-6 Junction City

Junction City overcame an early deficit to defeat Marshfield 6-4 in Sky-Em League baseball action Friday afternoon at Pirate Field in Coos Bay, Oregon. The loss drops the Pirates to 6-14 overall and 2-9 in conference play as they continue their challenging 4A league campaign.
Marshfield appeared to control the early portions of the contest, building a lead that had the home crowd optimistic about snapping their recent struggles. However, Junction City's offense found its rhythm in the middle innings, methodically chipping away at the Pirates' advantage before taking control.
The Pirates managed four runs on the afternoon but couldn't match Junction City's six-run output in what became a back-and-forth affair. Despite the setback, Marshfield showed flashes of the potential that could serve them well down the stretch.
With the regular season winding down, the Pirates will look to regroup and finish strong in their remaining Sky-Em League contests. Every game provides valuable experience for a young squad building toward future success.
