Gold Beach Panthers Boys Soccer 0-8 Pacific

Pacific handed Gold Beach an 8-0 defeat Tuesday in 2A/1A-SD3 Special District 3 boys soccer action, with the Gold Beach squad making the road trip up from Gold Beach, Oregon, to face a Pacific side that controlled the match from start to finish. The final margin was a tough one for Gold Beach, which was unable to find the net against a Pacific defense that kept the visitors off the board throughout the contest. Pacific's offense, meanwhile, was relentless, building the lead steadily and finishing with eight goals on the evening. The result drops Gold Beach to 0-7 on the season and 0-5 in conference play. Despite the difficult stretch, the young squad will look to regroup and find its footing as the season continues. Gold Beach's next opportunity comes later this week, giving the team a chance to respond and build some momentum before the postseason picture comes into full focus.
