Bandon Tigers Boys Soccer 0-1 Cottage Grove

A single goal proved to be the difference Thursday as Cottage Grove defeated Bandon 1-0 in a Sunset Conference (2A) boys soccer match played in Bandon, Oregon. The Lions were unable to find an equalizer, falling to 3-12-2 overall and 2-5 in league play with the result. Cottage Grove's lone tally held up through the final whistle, leaving Bandon without a breakthrough on its home pitch. The Tigers came in having shown flashes of quality this season, and Thursday's effort against a conference opponent kept the match tight, though the finishing touch on the attacking end remained elusive. With the Sunset Conference schedule winding down, Bandon will need to string together results quickly to improve its league standing before the postseason picture comes into focus. The Tigers return to action next week with another opportunity to build momentum and close out the fall campaign on a stronger note.
