The Brookings-Harbor boys soccer team opened its 2026 fall season with a scoreless draw, playing Hidden Valley to a 0-0 tie Tuesday on the road. The Bruins, who represent Brookings, Oregon, in the Far West League (3A), made the trip north for this non-league opener and came away with a point after a tight, defensive affair against the Mustangs.

Neither side could find the back of the net, as both goalkeepers and defenses held firm throughout the match. For Brookings-Harbor, a road shutout in the season opener speaks to the defensive discipline head coach and staff have been building during preseason.
