Taft capitalized on home field advantage Friday afternoon, defeating Brookings-Harbor 7-1 in non-league baseball action. The Bruins managed just one run against the Tigers' pitching staff in what proved to be a challenging road trip.

Brookings-Harbor entered the contest looking to build momentum after recent struggles, but Taft controlled the game from early innings. The Tigers used timely hitting and solid defensive play to pull away, while the Bruins were unable to generate consistent offensive pressure throughout the seven innings.

The loss drops Brookings-Harbor to 3-5 on the season as they continue navigating a competitive spring schedule. Despite the setback, the Bruins have shown flashes of potential in several games this year, with their pitching staff and young position players gaining valuable experience.

With league play approaching, Brookings-Harbor will look to regroup and focus on the fundamentals that helped them secure three wins earlier this season. The team returns home next week for what should be a more favorable setting to get back on track.
